In Zacapone - the beloved Tatra Mountains of Bl JPII - we were on our way to the awesome Church of Our Lady of Fatima dedicated to JP for his recovery from the failed - alleluia - assination attempt. He loved this place - he loved these awesome highlander folks. They were his peeps. It was drizziling ever so slightly while the sun was shining brightly. I was sayin, "rainbow - this is rainbow stuff. I hope we see a rainbow. And boom ! Within seconds there it was.

On the way back to the Friary this mornin after stockin up on bird food for "my sparrows" the razor wire combined with the ascending/descending fire escape caught my attention. Interesting combination of protection from undesired entry's inseperably linked with "escape"....It kind of reminds me of the mess we're in, the conflict of wanting to be protected and to be free all at the same time....a complicated image of the even more complicated dimensions, demands and realities of love....wheeeoooo....

Yesterday, a sad day, I buried a good friend ~ George "Dr. Beau" Zimmerman III...Lord have mercy....and while we were waiting for his body to be taken its final place of rest, there was a great shot of many many beautiful roses placed on top of his coffin from his friends and family...While I was standing there looking/praying...boom - oh what a great shot! I ran to the car to get the camera and boom - when I returned the roses were all taken off because they were ready to take the body up to the mousaleam. As i was lamenting the missed shot I saw a beautiful white rose and placed it on the coffin - I usually do not set shots up, I like to let them find me. Regardless, between the light on and the white of the rose combined with Beau's dody.....boom - the shot: "Zimm~Beau~Rose"....(His mother's middle name is "Therese")...aleluia...
